Rant

What I see on the social networking sites amazes me. Someone you follow won't follow you back. Someone that you @reply doesn't respond in kind. People DM (or whatever the specific social media equivalent of it is) nasty things about each other etc. The technology is expanding at an exponential rate, unfortunately people haven't evolved as quickly.

The tools we should and could use to bring us closer, and by being closer, strengthen the tapestry of society (and ourselves), we use to hurt one another. Cyberbullies...FUCK YOU. Cyberassholes...FUCK YOU. Cybernarcissists...FUCK YOU.

I have made it a mission to rid myself of these type of people in real life. I will do it here (social networking sites) too. This should be fun. It should be a wonderful opportunity to create bonds with people who logistically and maybe even culturally that you never would. Embrace that. I do.
